Jessica: I’m so excited to introduce my clients to your expertise! A lot of them are interested in injectables but don’t really know where to start. Can you explain your approach to anti-aging with fillers and Botox?
Dr. Zidel: Absolutely! One of the biggest misconceptions about aging is that wrinkles are the main issue, but actually, the biggest factor is volume loss. As we age, we lose tissue in our face, and this causes the sides of the face to fall forward. That’s what deepens the lines from the nose to the mouth and the mouth to the chin, making people look older.
Jessica: That makes so much sense! So how do you use fillers to address that?
Dr. Zidel: I take a very strategic and conservative approach. Instead of overfilling areas like the cheeks or laugh lines, I place small amounts of filler in key areas around the bone structure to give a natural lift. This restores the face’s natural contours without making it look puffy or overdone.
Jessica: I know some clients worry about looking unnatural. How do you avoid that?
Dr. Zidel: That’s exactly why I use small, precise amounts in specific locations. While adding more filler might create more lift, it often leads to an unnatural, exaggerated look. My technique enhances a client’s natural beauty while keeping the face looking fresh and youthful—not “filled.” Plus, this approach is much safer because it avoids major blood vessels and nerves.
Jessica: That’s reassuring! And what about Botox? How does that fit into your approach?
Dr. Zidel: Botox works beautifully alongside fillers. It’s great for softening expression lines, like the ones between the brows and on the forehead. Plus, it can provide a subtle brow lift, which most clients love because it opens up the eyes and gives a more refreshed appearance.
Jessica: So if a client is new to injectables, would you recommend starting with Botox or fillers?
Dr. Zidel: It depends on their individual concerns. If they’re mainly worried about fine lines and wrinkles from expressions, Botox is a great starting point. But if they’re noticing sagging or deeper folds, I’d recommend a conservative filler treatment to restore lost volume naturally.
Jessica: I love that your approach is about enhancing, not changing. Oh, and I know some clients ask about different types of fillers—what do you use?
Dr. Zidel: I use pure hyaluronic acid fillers because they’re the safest option. They integrate beautifully with the skin, provide natural-looking results, and can be dissolved if needed. I stay away from permanent or semi-permanent fillers, which can lead to complications.
Jessica: That’s great to know. Now, let’s talk about expectations—what should clients realistically expect from your approach?
Dr. Zidel: That’s such an important point. One thing I always make clear to my clients is that while fillers can do amazing things, they do have limitations. I’m very careful about how much I place in any one area because while adding more filler might create more lift, it can also create an unnatural or overfilled look. I always prioritize natural results over just “more.”
Jessica: So does that mean some clients might want more lift than what’s possible with fillers alone?
Dr. Zidel: Exactly. Sometimes I’ll reach the maximum amount I feel comfortable placing in a certain area, and while the client may have been expecting even more lift, I won’t push beyond what looks natural. This is where it’s important for people to understand that injectables can be incredibly effective, but they do have their limits. A non-surgical approach can be fantastic, but it’s about working within realistic expectations.
Jessica: That’s such a great insight. I think it’s so valuable for clients to hear that perspective so they can make informed decisions.
Dr. Zidel: Absolutely. I want every client to walk away feeling confident and happy, knowing they’ve enhanced their natural beauty in a way that looks elegant, not overdone.
Jessica: I love that. I think my clients are going to be thrilled to meet you. How can they get started?
Dr. Zidel: They can book a consultation with me, where I’ll assess their face, discuss their goals, and create a personalized plan. Every face is unique, so I tailor my approach to ensure the best, most natural results for each client.
Jessica: Perfect! I’m excited to share this with them. Thanks for explaining everything so clearly!
Dr. Zidel: My pleasure! I’m looking forward to helping your clients look and feel their best.
