Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Epidermal Collagen Induction Therapy or ECIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of various skin concerns. A sterile cartridge containing tiny micro-points is attached to the handheld device, also referred to as a pen. The pen gently presses against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered. During this procedure, the Eclipse MicroPen is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. It also creates micro-channels which allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing the effects in deeper layers of the skin.

Treatments are typically performed monthly for the first three to four months, and then every three to six months thereafter. However, an individualized treatment plan will be implemented upon your consultation. 

We begin by applying a sterile saline to your skin and choosing the appropriate pen position based on your individual needs. During the treatment, clients have reported that  it feels like sandpaper being moved across the skin. As soon as the treatment is finished clients notice an immediate glow to their skin. More visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks and results will continue to improve up to six months after the initial treatment. 

The micro-needling technology used by our professional Skincare Specialists had set a new standard for outstanding medical equipment for physicians. We use an advanced, medical-grade automated micro-needling device. Using high-efficacy technologies and top-tier professional products that are leaders in micro-technologies allow us to exceed client expectations. The high-speed motor, interchangeable head applications and adjustable depth settings allows for various sizes of treatment areas to be covered and for various skin types to be treated. It is powerful, precise and clinically proven to be safe and effective to deliver beautiful and natural-looking results.

One week prior to treatment, it is recommended to minimize sun exposure and refrain from using Retinol products.

After a treatment, most clients feel burning and stinging for five to 15 minutes. Any discomfort is temporary. However, the total healing time depends on the pen position used and the number of overlapping passes the Skincare Professional performs. Generally, clients experience redness from two to four days post treatment, whereas some completely heal within 24 hours. 

Clients can resume regular activities immediately but cannot wash the treated areas, and not use shampoo’s with active ingredients, such as dandruff, or engage in rigorous exercise for 24 hours. It is not recommended to use any active ingredients on the treated area, such as Retinol or scrubs, for at least 72 hours.
